The 319th Contracting Squadron, Grand Forks Air Force Base, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Applied Research Associates, Inc. This procurement is required in order to provide services to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing of the Installation Base Defense Security System (IBDSS) at Grand Forks AFB, ND. This procurement is intended to be awarded as a sole source due to the proprietary rights Applied Research Associates, Inc. has over the Sentinel equipment and software installed in the IBDSS at Grand Forks AFB. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From A Single Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
