The combined total length of the dam embankment is approximately ¾ of a mile. The dam embankment material will come from a borrow site adjacent to the Diversion Inlet Structure. The reach also includes relocation of County Roads 16 and 17, including a roundabout at the new intersection of these roads and construction of adjacent ditching. County Road 17 will tie into the new bridge crossing the Diversion Channel, constructed under a separate contract. The road embankment material will come from a stockpile near the City of Fargo.
